What personal information we collect, why, and how we protect it. We follow Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).
What we collect
When you create an account, place an order, request a quote, sign up for our newsletter, use the chat or contact us, we may ask for your name, company, email address, mailing and shipping address and phone number, and details of the products you are interested in. We also keep your order history.
How we use it
- To process your orders and payments, arrange shipping or pickup, and send order updates.
- To answer your questions, quotes and support requests.
- To run and improve the website and your shopping experience.
- To send newsletters and offers, only if you have agreed to receive them.
Payments
Card and PayPal payments are processed by the payment provider through a secure gateway. Card numbers are not stored or processed on our servers.
Signing in with Google or PayPal
If you choose to sign in with Google or PayPal, that service shares your name and verified email address with us so we can create or open your account. We do not receive your Google or PayPal password.
Chat and the assistant
Questions typed into the chat are answered by an automated assistant, which uses an AI service provider to generate replies, and by our team when you choose to chat with a person. Chat messages are kept so we can follow up on your request. Please do not enter payment details in the chat.
Cookies
We use cookies to keep your cart and session working and to understand how the site is used, so we can improve it. You can set your browser to warn you about cookies or to refuse them; some parts of the site, such as the cart, may not work without them.
Sharing
We do not sell or trade your personal information. We share it only with the service providers we need to run the store — for example payment processors, shipping carriers, email and hosting providers — and only for that purpose, or when the law requires it.
Email and consent (CASL)
We send order and service emails as part of doing business with you. Marketing emails are sent only with your consent, and every one includes a link to unsubscribe. You can also ask us to stop at any time by contacting us.
Text messages
If you sign up for texts, we use your mobile number only to send Extractor King news, restocks and offers by the apps you chose (SMS, WhatsApp or Signal). Reply STOP to any message to stop. We never share or sell your number.
How we protect it
The website uses SSL encryption, is kept up to date and is checked regularly for security issues. Personal information is kept on secured systems that only authorized people can access, and they must keep it confidential. If a breach puts your information at real risk, we will notify you as required by law.
Keeping and correcting your information
We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes above and our legal and accounting obligations. You can see and update your details by signing in to your account, and you can ask us for access to, correction of, or deletion of your information by contacting us.
Children
Our website and products are intended for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
