Science King B-Series pumps are oil-free PTFE diaphragm vacuum pumps for rotary evaporators, vacuum distillation, filtration and other solvent work. Pick the model that matches your flow: 20, 40, 60 or 80 L/min. Every part the gas touches is PTFE, so they stand up to corrosive solvent vapours.
Overview
All four models are dry diaphragm pumps: no oil and no water, so there are no oil changes and no water to replace, and solvent can be recovered at the outlet. The motor and drive are sealed off from the pumped gas, and a thermal switch stops the pump if it overheats and restarts it once it cools.
The B20 and B40 reach 8–10 mbar and come with a vacuum gauge, for small rotovaps and filtration. The B60 and B80 move more gas (60 and 80 L/min, down to 10–18 mbar) for larger rotovaps and distillation.

Questions
Which model do I need?
The B20 or B40 suits small rotovaps (up to about 5 L) and filtration; the B60 or B80 suits 10–50 L rotovaps and distillation. Ask us if you are not sure.
What power does it need?
220 V, 60 Hz. It does not run on a standard 120 V outlet.
Does it use oil?
No. It is a dry diaphragm pump with no oil or water.
Can it pump liquids?
No. It is for gas and vapour only; keep liquids and solid particles out of the inlet, and do not block the outlet.
Can it be used where explosion-proof equipment is required?
No.
