Dry ice is Bricks or Blocks are a solid form of co2. They is used primarily as a cooling agent. Its advantages include lower temperature than that of water ice and not leaving any residue (other than frost from moisture in the atmosphere). It is useful for sub zero cooling when mechanical cooling is not available or cost effective.
Dry ice blocks sublimates at at a temperature of 194.65 K (−78.5 °C; −109.3 °F), at Earths atmospheric pressure. This extreme temperature makes the solid co2 dangerous to handle without protection due to the potential of burns being caused by freezing (frostbite). All our dry ice is food safe.
