The spray drying process dissolves, emulsifies, or disperses the core substance in a carrier solution before atomizing it into fine droplets. Heated air rapidly dries the droplets, while a cyclone system separates and collects the resulting solid particles. The system combines a 0.7 mm pneumatic atomization nozzle with an electric centrifugal dual-fluid atomizer for controlled particle formation.
Built with 316L stainless steel contact components, 3.3 borosilicate glass, and PTFE seals, the 5L spray dryer provides durable materials for demanding applications. A Siemens S7-200smart PLC with a 7-inch touchscreen provides intuitive operation, parameter control, and automated nozzle clearing for efficient processing in pharmaceutical, food and beverage, dairy, pigment, chemical, biotechnology, and research applications.

Can the USA Lab Spray Dryer 5L handle organic solvents?No. The USA Lab Spray Dryer 5L is designed for aqueous solutions and suspensions only. For organic solvents, an inert-loop spray dryer is required for safe, explosion-proof operation.
The 5L model is designed for industrial and larger-scale applications, providing a 5000 ml/h evaporation capacity and 10.0 kW heating capacity. This provides greater processing capacity than the Mini and 3L models for facilities handling larger sample volumes and higher throughput requirements.
The USA Lab Spray Dryer 5L is suitable for pharmaceutical, food and beverage, dairy, pigment, chemical, biotechnology, and larger-scale research or processing applications where uniform micro-powder production and higher throughput are required.
